About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced perioperative leader to join Calvary Launceston as Nurse Unit Manager – Operating Theatres. This permanent full-time position is responsible for the operational, clinical and workforce leadership of our Operating Theatre department across Calvary's Launceston hospitals.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, support service improvement initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing development of perioperative services within a collaborative and values-based environment.
Your main duties will include:

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Operating Theatre department

Drive clinical excellence, workforce development and patient safety outcomes

Manage staffing, resources, budgets and continuous improvement initiatives
About you

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Postgraduate qualification relevant to perioperative practice (or working towards)

Experience in perioperative nursing and theatre operations

Demonstrated leadership and people management capability

Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
