The Strathalan Community, Baptcare Retirement Living in Macleod, Victoria, is actively welcoming new residents and is offering Casual opportunities for Café – All rounder.

We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours. As a Café – All Rounder, your primary role is to provide our residents, families, and staff with assistance in customer service and delivering meals in a café /function environment and support café operations in line with service standards and the food Safety Program guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery of meals across dining areas within a residence.
• Ability to work with other catering staff and assist with the preparation of basic food stuff if required or directed by supervisor.
• Provide support for function planning and delivery.
• Ensure all catering facilities food safety program schedule is adhered to.
• Assist customers with service delivery in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Ensuring all staff in catering department maintain safe food handling practices and compliance.

About you

• A warm, compassionate, and reliable team member
• Ability to listen and understand our client's needs and requirements.
• Availability in work over 7-day roster.
• Relevant Industry Training – Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate
• Knowledge of Food Safely and HACCP compliance
• Coffee experience is a must.
• Previous experience in a café/restaurant environment.
• Must be able to operate POS systems.
