The Role:
The Strathalan Community, a Baptcare Residential Aged Care facility in Macleod, Victoria, is actively welcoming new residents and is offering Part-Time or Casual opportunities for Personal Care Assistants. We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours including weekdays and weekends for morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Listen to consumers and understand what is important to them and support them to achieve their goals
Following the care plan, work to a planned schedule under the direction of a registered nurse.
Record consumer outcomes into the appropriate Baptcare records
Participate in the continuous improvement cycle at the home
Build relationships with families and other agencies/stakeholders with the goal of improving life for consumers in care
Report workplace risks to management
Report consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviours or actions not aligned to our values
Attend regular scheduled training to maintain your level of skill
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care
Minimum of 12 months working experience in an Aged Care facility
Be customer focused with a passion for working in Aged Care
Have excellent attention to detail, be honest and reliable, and possess a positive and flexible attitude
A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team
