The Role

Are you an experienced finance professional seeking a dynamic role in the aged care sector? Look no further! Baptcare, a leading provider of residential and community aged care services in Victoria and Tasmania, is seeking a talented Finance Business Partner within Community Services and Housing, to join their Financial Services team in Melbourne.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will be a pivotal member of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, providing strategic financial support, advice and guidance to the Community Services & Housing business unit within Baptcare's Services & Operations division. Your primary responsibilities will include partnering with both strategic and tactical domains, offering the opportunity to engage with a wide spectrum of commercial matters. The Finance Business Partner collaborates closely with senior stakeholders across the Community Services and Housing units, partnering with executive and leadership teams to provide expert financial and commercial guidance.

 

About You

To excel in this role, you must possess:
• A degree in Commerce, Economics or Business
• Qualified as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
• Relevant experience in a finance business partnering role, preferably within the aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors but not essential
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

 

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Proven track record of improving financial performance within a complex organisational setting
  • Proven ability to contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans, aligning financial objectives with overall business goals and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Strong data analytics skills, including the ability to work with large and diverse datasets, derive meaningful insights, and communicate complex analysis clearly to diverse audiences
  • Extensive knowledge of financial regulations and internal controls, along with a history of ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards
  • Demonstrated success in building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders, including executive teams and board members, to provide financial leadership and support for decision-making
  • Alignment and commitment to Baptcare’s Mission, Vision, and Values
