About the role
Our Social Support Activity Workers are responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred support within a community aged care setting and assisting in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activity programs that reflect the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each individual, fostering a supportive and engaging social environment.
Duties & Skills
- Facilitate social groups and activities for clients, including but not limited to singalongs, quiz activities, current affair discussions, and reminiscing sessions.
- Assist with the day program activities and sessions, set up and pack away.
- Working knowledge of those living with dementia.
- Assist with client transport.
- Assist with client’s personal care and toileting needs at the centre as required.
- Customer focused with passion for working in aged care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Cert III Aged Care or Community Services
- Cert IV in Lifestyle & Leisure or extensive experience in running group activities in an aged care environment is desirable.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Australian Drivers Licence.
