About the Role

Baptcare is seeking an exceptional Partner in the Community (PITC) Service Area Manager - Early Childhood to oversee the operations of our Early Childhood Team. In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Monitor team performance against NDIA and Baptcare measures, ensuring best practice person-centred service provision.
  • Ensure Coordinators provide effective planning, reviews, and plan implementation for NDIS participants aged 0-9 years.
  • Facilitate access to mainstream services and information to support individual goals and needs of families and children.
  • Collaborate with key partners like NDIA to deliver professional and accountable services aligning with policies and frameworks.
  • Manage resources and training for Coordinators to deliver high-quality early childhood supports.

 

Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma of Community Welfare Work or other tertiary qualification at Diploma or above level, which includes units of case management and supervised practical work placements in relevant fields. 

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in working with people with a disability.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading staff in an environment of rapid change, including managing a mobile workforce, supervision, coaching, performance management and professional development.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners to meet program deliverables.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, relationship building, problem solving and interpersonal skills including both written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent organisational, time management skills, with the ability to be self-directed and work independently Technical Expertise and Values
  • Demonstrated experience in leading early childhood programmes, including an understanding of child development.
  • Demonstrated, experience working alongside children with disability or developmental delay and their families to identify and achieve their goals
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with and delivering high quality services to people with a developmental delay or disability, their families, carers, and local communities.
  • Proven experience working with children and vulnerable people and understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging in this work.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children and when working with children and vulnerable people.
