Are you passionate about strengthening communities and empowering individuals to thrive? Baptcare is seeking a dedicated Partner in the Community Local Area Coordinator to join our dynamic Community Services team in Moonah.
As our Local Area Coordinator, you'll be the vital link connecting people with disabilities, their families, and the broader community. You'll facilitate meaningful relationships, identify local opportunities, and help build inclusive, supportive networks that enhance quality of life and promote independence.
What you will do:
• Develop authentic relationships with participants and their support networks
• Identify and cultivate community connections and resources
• Facilitate access to mainstream services and natural supports
• Collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and community groups
• Support individuals to pursue their goals and aspirations
• Work flexibly across diverse community settings
What We're Looking For:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Development, or related field
• Experience in disability services or community development
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Creative problem-solving abilities and cultural sensitivity
• Current driver's license and willingness to travel locally
• Alignment with Baptcare's Christian values and mission
