About the role

Are you an experienced Payroll professional seeking a meaningful career opportunity where you can make a lasting impact? 


As a Payroll Officer within our Financial Services team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our valued employees. This is a full-time or Part Time position based at our head office in Camberwell, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process and review payroll data for multiple pay cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including leave balances, pay rates, and deductions.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Prepare and distribute payslips, payment summaries, and other payroll-related reports.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

- Proven experience in a similar payroll officer role, preferably within the not-for-profit or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
