About the Role
Reporting to the GM - Property, in this full-time role, you will be responsible for the on-time and on-budget delivery of new store/new site projects. You will own the national roll-out program and all property projects from the time the lease is signed, throughout design and construction up until opening. You will also act as a trusted partner and advisor to the Property, Operations, Field, P&C and Supply teams.
A typical day might include:
- Managing external contractors in the delivery of build programs
- Visiting a new site to inspect works
- Reviewing working drawings in preparation for submission to builders SOW and quotes
- Meeting with architects and engineers for new store design planning
- Leading the regular project role out alignment meeting with all internal stakeholders
- Presenting to the Savers leadership team on the status of new store openings
- Reviewing project invoices against contractor quotes
- Proudly embracing our purpose to Champion Reuse

- Supporting our safety culture
About You
To ensure you can hit the ground running, you will have a mix of the following:
- Significant experience in project management roles within retail/hospitality sectors with a focus on new store/site openings, construction management, ownership of shopfitting programs and store design process.
- You take ownership of everything you do, with a strong sense of accountability – after all, when it comes to your projects, the buck stops with you!
- You are a strategic thinker, with ability to both manage the big picture while being obsessed with getting the detail right
- You are an expert in cross-functional engagement of multiple stakeholders for the delivery of projects
- Peripheral vision – you are always on the look out for what’s coming, the expected but also the unexpected. You can respond quickly with a plan and execute.
- Commercially savy – you understand that all project stages need to be carefully managed with a commercial and cost conscious mindset
- A team player – you love working in a team, and enjoy helping others to meet team goals
