About the role

selectability is currently seeking an enthusiastic facility support worker to join our team in Normanton, Queensland at our Gulfland Motel. You will support the delivery of high-quality housekeeping services through tasks like:

• cleaning and ensuring Motel upkeep
• clean guest rooms and bathrooms
• maintain cleanliness in public areas
• report maintenance or safety issues to management

This position requires a commitment to providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment, with respect for privacy, cultural backgrounds, and individual needs. Working as part of a dedicated team in the Lower Gulf region, you will support the smooth operation of the Gulfland Motel by ensuring rooms and facilities are maintained to a high standard. Attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude are key to delivering quality service that contributes to an enjoyable experience in Normanton.

About you

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have great interpersonal skills and the ability work as part of a team.

To be successful you must:

• previous experience in a similar role (highly desirable)
• previous experience working in remote areas (desirable)
• possess clear and effective communication skills 
• ability to work independently and effectively manage time
• be able to follow policies and procedures at all times 
• be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals 

Role Requirements

• a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)

The facility support worker is based in Normanton at our Gulfland Motel.
