About the role
selectability is currently seeking a Property Officer to join the corporate team in Townsville. This is a full-time position, reporting to the General Manager - Service Development.
The Property Officer is responsible for the effective management and maintenance of selectability's property portfolio. This role ensures all properties are safe, compliant, and well-maintained to support the organisation’s operations and services.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing allocated property and ensuring that break- even results are achieved
- Managing the maintenance of allocated properties
- Maintaining a positive relationship with tenancy/stakeholders of allocated properties
- Assessing financial performance of the property and taking remedial action if required to ensure targets are achieved in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensuring that the monthly target for rental collection is achieved for the assigned properties
- Conducting regular tenancy meetings to address tenancy issues, complaints, enquires and overall property issues in a timely manner, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Overseeing effective delivery of repair works for assigned properties
- Ensuring that proper exiting procedures are carried out for exiting tenants in accordance with relevant property procedures
- General administrative duties, including maintaining tenancy record keeping
About you
To be considered for this rewarding role you will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
To be successful you must:
- Certificate in real estate or equivalent in finance, economics, accounting
- Experience in property or project management (highly desirable)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of employees
- Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail
Role requirements
- Travel to selectability sites will be required
- Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
- Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate.
- Current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
- Roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
