THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Processing Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the processing plant and play a key role in leading processing teams to ensure the safe and efficient coordination of operational activities and targets.

 

This is a permanent full-time role which operates on an 8:6 day shift FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and managing the operations team in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate operational activities to meet production and maintenance objectives.
  • Ensure that resources are developed and opportunities to improve the business are actively sought and progressed.
  • Active collaboration on project integration activities to ensure seamless implementation of improvements.
  • Actively contribute towards achieving the PLS’s Values by demonstrating a clear commitment to them.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor
  • WA C-class drivers licence
  • Certificate in frontline management and leadership, or similar
  • 8+ years mining industry experience in processing discipline
  • Strong supervisory and leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of fixed and mobile plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens, and other mineral processing equipment)
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong commitment to safety and the environment
  • Knowledge safety requirements relevant to the industry, including:
    • Work Health and Safety Act 2020
    • Work Health and Safety Reg 2022
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
