THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering support, focused on sustaining reliability and availability of the fixed plant, by ensuring equipment is maintained to high standards and accurately predicting equipment failure to ultimately prevent unscheduled plant downtime, whist ensuring compliance with all company and statutory regulations, guidelines and procedures.

This is a permanent position which will operate on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth.  

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring standardisation of maintenance processes and procedures for proper care of production assets.
  • Using root cause analysis, and condition-based maintenance systems in the identification of plant failure modes and development of predictive strategies.
  • Administer and review plant availability reporting metrics and data integrity to promote defect elimination initiatives
  • Identifying, plan and manage, plant improvement projects.
  • Initiating and executing continuous improvement projects focused and defect elimination.
  • Owning and developing the PM program and have a working knowledge of all the plant predictive strategies and how to apply them.
  • Developing maintenance strategies and tactics to ensure optimised plant performance and cost.
  • Development of the sites Condition Monitoring program and systems.
  • Analysing and reporting on plant equipment performance against forecasts.
  • Assisting in maintenance planning and forecasting.
  • Providing recommendations on maximising the equipment life cycle and performance
  • Provide governance to maintenance team to complete works to required site standards, & specifications as well as relevant Australian Standards

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated 5-10 years’ experience in the mining industry within maintenance and/or reliability engineering
  • You will have a strategic and forward-thinking approach to your work
  • Working knowledge and application of the Mine Safety and Inspections Act and regulations
  • Proficient user of maintenance management software.
  • You will be a committed health and safety advocate and play an active role in reinforcing our company values
