Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School is located in the beautiful Torres Straits with two campuses on Thursday Island and Hammond Island. Our Thursday Island Campus caters for Prep to Year 6, while our Hammond Island campus is for Prep to Year 2 with older students catching a daily ferry to the TI campus. We celebrate our remote location and Indigenous culture. The faith, life and values of the people of the Torres Strait are acknowledged through our learning environment
About the Role
As a Teacher you will:
- Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment
Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.

- Be registered or eligible to be register with Queensland College of Teachers
