Salary Range: $86,600 to $126,795 FTE gross per annum plus 12.75% Superannuation

St Rita's South Johnstone

St Rita’s is situated in South Johnstone, a small rural township situated 100 km south of Cairns and 9 km south-east of Innisfail. When the school was opened and blessed in 1932, it was placed under the patronage of St Rita of Cascia. The Good Samaritan Sisters staffed the school from 1932 to 1977. The original school operated from the building adjacent to the school in Green St, which presently hosts a long-running playgroup. The school moved across the road in 1933 to where the present building is situated. The face of the school has changed over time, with the addition of new classrooms and state-of-the-art undercover multi-purpose centers. St Rita's is proud to be a community school, with a reputation for having a strong family focus.  

About the Role

As a Teacher you will:
• Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning
• Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment
 
Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.

Work Requirements

  • Be registered or eligible to be register with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
