About the role
This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a Leading Hand / Driver based in Coolaroo VIC. In this role, you will lead by example to ensure the team achieves its objectives, overseeing workplace health & safety, KPI performance, and operational standards.
You’ll work Monday to Friday, with early starts between 1am–2am, and report directly to the Operations Manager. On top of that, we’re offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Drivers/Operators to ensure KPI targets and service standards are met
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, drivers, and sub-contractors
• Promote a positive and collaborative team environment
• Allocate work efficiently to maximize productivity and cost control
• Ensure daily operations run smoothly and effectively
• Review and manage Driver run sheets and be prepared to cover daily runs in cases of leave or absence.

What you will bring

• Proven team leader or supervisory experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Current HR license
• Experience operating Rear lift, Front lift, and Hook lift trucks
• Prior experience in the waste industry
• Strong understanding of cost control and subcontractor management
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
• IT literacy
