Position Overview: 

We are seeking full-time Diesel Fitters to join our team at our Norske Skog workshop to work on a broad range of earth moving equipment, heavy transport vehicles and light vehicles. 

Key responsibilities:

The roles will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Conducting mechanical preventive maintenance & repairs to internal / external assets which includes servicing and breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing of mechanical problems and testing of completed repairs.
  • Experience working unsupervised and as part of a small team.
  • Ability to complete accurate details on job sheets, timesheets and any other service requirements.
  • Working on a afterhours call out roster.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders. 

Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:

  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Have a strong background servicing, repairing, and maintaining trucks or heavy machinery.
  • Forklift Licence and other heavy vehicle experience would be advantageous.
  • Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
  • Show a strong work ethic & high attention to detail.
