The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Pricing and Commercial Analyst to join our team in this new role in Sydney. This is an opportunity to leverage your data-driven mindset and commercial acumen to drive strategic pricing decisions, optimize promotions, and uncover revenue-generating opportunities.

What You’ll Do:
✅ Develop robust pricing models and analyse the impact of pricing strategies on sales, margins, and customer behaviour.
✅ Collaborate with buying and category teams to deliver data-backed pricing and promotional plans that maximize profitability.
✅ Evaluate the commercial viability of new product launches, range changes, and supplier deals through insightful analysis.
✅ Produce compelling reports and dashboards that provide visibility into key trading metrics and performance indicators.
✅ Identify opportunities to boost average transaction value, customer penetration, and purchase frequency by mining customer and basket data.

To thrive in this position, you'll need:
🎓 A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
💼 2–5 years of experience in a pricing, commercial, or trading analyst role, preferably in retail or FMCG.
📊 Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI, with a knack for distilling complex data into actionable insights.
🧠 A strong grasp of retail trading metrics and a commercially savvy mindset.
🗣️ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively convey findings to senior leadership.
⚡ The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks with precision and proactivity.
