The Role:
You'll be the dedicated HR partner for our NZ business units, working closely with people leaders to deliver proactive HR support across employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and workforce planning. You'll be part of a collaborative HR team, reporting to the HR Business Partner, and playing a key role in building a high-performing, values-led culture across ANZ.
This role is unique, as it has a strong NZ employment relations focus. You'll need to hit the ground running with solid working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation including the Employment Relations Act, Holidays Act, and minimum employment standards and be confident managing ER matters, investigations, and compliance obligations specific to the NZ jurisdiction.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Partner with NZ business unit leaders to provide proactive HR guidance and coaching
✅ Manage and resolve employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes in accordance with NZ legislation
✅ Ensure compliance with New Zealand employment law, minimum standards, and regulatory obligations
✅ Support end-to-end recruitment activity across your business units
✅ Contribute to workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational change initiatives
✅ Champion employee engagement, retention, and culture programs
✅ Manage immigration accreditation and employee visa requirements as needed
✅ Contribute to HR reporting including global reporting and regulatory submissions
Qualifications & Experience
✅ 3–5 years' progressive HR experience in a business partnering or generalist role
✅ Sound, working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation — including the Employment Relations Act, Holidays Act, and minimum employment standards (essential)
✅ Demonstrated experience managing ER matters — investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
✅ Experience supporting recruitment, workforce planning, and organisational change
✅ Commercially minded with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
✅ Collaborative, approachable, and trusted by people leaders and employees alike
✅ Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Law, or a related field
