Why This Role?

As a Senior Manager, you’ll lead a high-performing team within the NHVR’s Legal Services Unit, deliver strategic advice, and help steer the legal direction of a national regulator. From major contracts and property to insurance, your work will end up touching every corner of the organisation.

You’ll work closely with the Director, Legal Services to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals in the Property and Commercial team within the Legal Services Unit
  • Oversee commercial, procurement, IP, insurance, and property legal matters
  • Contribute to contract and lease management strategies
  • Manage legal risk and support strategic decisions
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive a positive team culture

What You’ll Bring

  • Admission to practice law in Australia
  • 10+ years’ legal experience (commercial/property law or government)
  • Proven people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strategic thinking, sound judgement, and a practical mindset
