Job Duties:
This position reports to the Dean of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and is responsible for the following: • This position includes teaching responsibilities at the college campus and as a dual credit instructor at Bowling Green High School. • Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in Air Conditioning Technology. • Incorporates a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences, experiential backgrounds, and learning styles to help them meet course competencies. Evaluate students’ progress toward stated course competencies and inform them of their progress on time. • Provides quality and timely access to students and communicates availability through appropriate methods such as posted campus/office hours and electronic communication. Maintains professional relationships with colleagues, students, and the community. • Participates in non-teaching assignments, including instructional development, academic advising, student orientation, registration assignments, college-wide and/or division activities and committees, professional development, internal and external service, and other assigned responsibilities determined in consultation with the Dean. • This position requires teaching a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester or 30 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters combined. Teaching assignments may include teaching on one or more of the college’s campuses, High School locations, online, or some combination thereof, based on the needs of the students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Air Conditioning Technology or related field, with 4 years of related work experience or bachelor's in a related technical field and 2 years of work experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge, experience, or evidence of a commitment to inclusivity and excellence in teaching methodologies that effectively engage our diverse student population. The candidate should have experience with instructional technologies, including presentation software and learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard). Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency with technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
