Job Summary
The Admission Officer’s primary function is processing a heavy volume of applications for admission and entering transcript data. The Officer provides administrative support in the review, evaluation, development and implementation of Student Development and Enrollment Management.

Job Duties:
- Application and Transcript Evaluation & Processing –make judgment decisions within Senate Rules. Processes a large volume of applications submitted to the college. Consider requirements for each category of student (i.e. Readmit, Non-degree, etc.)
- Work with the student information system to alter, correct, or record additional data on an applicant and record admissions decisions. Verify accuracy of application and document data.
- Address all errors as according to CPE Edit Reports.
- Conduct audit of all documents at the end of each registration and CPE reporting term.
- Collect, input, and maintain official transcripts for students' permanent records.
- Meet and counsel prospective students and parents about admissions procedures. Correspond to applicants regarding inquiries about BCTC.
- Scan all documents and upload to student permanent file
- Assist with covering the front desk as needed.
- Make initial Residency decision.
- Assist with Registration and Freshman Orientation.
- Serve as support to the Associate Vice President of Public Relations, Marketing, and Admissions and Director of Admissions
- Personal and Professional Development - Attend workshops as associated with the Kentucky Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO) and other workshops, meetings, lectures, etc. as needed to enhance professional growth.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, or equivalent.
|
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor' Degree and two years work experience or equivalent.

- Extensive date entry skills, Excel, Word, and Outlook experience
