Job Summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking a Director, Philanthropy and Alumni to identify, develop, and maintain mutually beneficial corporate and foundation relationships, often with the goal of soliciting investments, grants, or gifts. Work closely with college/System personnel and other stakeholders including boards, foundations, and alumni to identify needs and resources to advance both the institution and company/foundation goals and ensure appropriate stewardship of investments.

Job Duties:

  • Provide leadership and coordinate college advancement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a list of prospecitve donors, prospects, friends and alumni.
  • Identify and cultivate individual, corporate and foundation funding prospects.
  • Verifiy and edit all gifts and pledges received by the college .
  • Ensure that donor intention and restrictions of gift are fulfilled.
  • Ensure proper stewardship of donations.
  • Responsible for generation, maintenance, interpretation, and implementation of all policies and procedures related to advancement.
  • Assist the president as needed.
  • Work closely with the business office and systems office in monitoring the processing and reporting of private funds.
  • Supervise preparation of advancement and alumni marketing strategies, materials and publications.
  • Coordinate scholarship program and cooperative program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 1 to 2 years relevant experience.
