Job Summary
The Ready-to-Work Coordinator will lead and direct Owensboro Community and Technical College’s Ready-to-Work program. This role provides case management and facilitates education, training, and supportive services for KTAP students to ensure retention and success both in college and the workplace. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs.

Job Duties:
•Recruit Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training (SNAP E&T) and Kentucky Temporary Assistance Program (KTAP) participants for the Ready to Work Program. •Serve as an on-site case manager and career counselor for all referred SNAP E&T and KTAP students by assessing student needs and referring to appropriate helping services; interpreting academic interests, analyzing test results, potential career choices and goals; performing career counseling and assessment; developing action plans to meet student needs; and monitoring student achievement. •Consult with students to aid and coordinate services with DCBS. •Act as a liaison between DCBS and KCTCS. •Actively work with DCBS case workers and other DCBS Contractors. •Develop initiatives and activities designed to recruit and retain SNAP E&T and KTAP students throughout the year. •Provide job development and placement services for SNAP E&T and KTAP students; develop work-study placements, both on and off campus; act as liaison with employers; may interview, hire, supervise, and mentor student work-study employees. •Monitor time sheets for RTW participants. •Prepare and monitor work-study budgets and complete all related reporting obligations. •Assist in program/curriculum design and delivery for KTAP and SNAP E&T participants within the SkillTrain (Adult Education) and Workforce Solution’s division including but not limited to financial literacy and empowerment. •Use of Microsoft Office for reporting and meeting virtually with students and other KCTCS staff, especially Teams, Outlook, and Excel. •All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Education, Human Services, Counseling, or related field and 1 year of relevant work experience or associate's degree and 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
