Job Summary
The Admissions Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for an Admissions Specialist-Front Desk position.

Job Duties:
Duties Include: • Serve as the first point of contact for the Admissions Office and Jefferson by assisting incoming traffic in a friendly manner and providing exceptional customer service. • Disseminate information to students, staff, and faculty concerning admissions policies and procedures. • Assist in departmental communication, including e-mails, telephone inquiries, and face-to-face interactions. • Manage front desk, walk-in, and waiting area in an organized fashion and assist with ordering marketing materials for replenishment as needed. • Process student documents including high school transcripts, visiting student letters, and any additional paperwork for the office. • Scan, file, and process admissions documents into Onbase as needed. • Assist the Admissions team with special events and express enrollment as needed. • Other duties to support the department may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Three years’ related professional experience, or equivalent, are required. Preference will be given to individuals with knowledge of customer service techniques and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree and five years related professional experience. Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Additional Skills Requested:
Physical Requirements: Occasional and /or light lifting – limited exposure to disagreeable environmental elements (heat, cold, dirt, chemicals, etc.)
