Job Summary
The Director of Grants Development plans, organizes and manages grant development functions of the College. The successful candidate will ensure all vetting of opportunities; ensure adherence to College policies and goals; serve as primary internal and external contact to consult with faculty, staff and outside agencies; and maximize revenue through external sources. The Director will establish an annual plan designed to meet the College's mission, vision, and strategic planning themes.

Job Duties:
- The Director manages the operation of the Grants office, which encompasses a range of responsibilities. These include but are not limited to facilitating the development of proposals, engaging in meticulous project planning, diligently researching potential funding opportunities, skillfully crafting and editing proposals, as well as coordinating various working groups involved in the grant-seeking process.
- The Director maintains administrative records of all proposals, contracts, partnerships, etc. (Pre-Award documents). The Director maintains an electronic database of grant opportunities and awards (Grant Hub ) for reporting and tracking proposals.
- The Director is responsible for conducting thorough research to identify suitable local, regional, state, and federal grant opportunities that align with the institution's objectives and goals. Subsequently, the Director presents well-researched recommendations to the Cabinet and College President for careful consideration.
- The Director coordinates and develops effective working relationships with programs and local, state, and federal government officials. The Director facilitates implementation meetings/provides orientation with Project Directors & Principle Investigators of new grant awards, reporting, and other requirements.
- The Director monitors funded projects to include goals, outcomes and deliverables to ensure all contract terms follow grantors' guidelines and budgetary requirements. The Director reports regularly to College administration on the progress of grant-seeking and funded projects. The Director engages in other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of: • Principles of grant writing, grant management, and partnership development. • Practices of grant administration, including funding sources, administrative requirements, cost principles and state and federal regulations. • Budget planning and development, proposal development, assembly and submission. • Principles and practices of financial management. • Principles of public and non-profit administration. • Principles and practices of personnel supervision, training, and performance evaluation. • Correct and accurate English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation • Applicable uses of word processing, spreadsheet and database software packages and technology. • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations relating to grant writing, administration and management. • Sound principles and practices of project management

This position requires a high level of organization, written communication, and the ability to critically examine Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA)/Requests for Proposals (RFP) issued by federal, state or private agencies, and knowledge and familiarity of federal forms and Uniform Guidance.
