Job Summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking an Academic Advisor III to serve as a Dual Credit Coordinator, assisting the Director of Secondary Partnerships. The coordinator will work closely with the Hardin County School District’s high school counselors and faculty to build dual credit enrollment and to create pathways that encourage and recruit high school students to enroll at ECTC.

Job Duties:

• Grow the Dual Credit Program in the Hardin County School District.
• Serve as the main contact for an assigned group of students to guide them to achieve academic success.
• Counsel students in identifying and assessing their interests, skills, and values to match appropriate fields of study and career options and refer students to proper institutional resources.
• Manage student accounts by applying the dual credit and work-ready scholarships, working closely with the Business Office to ensure scholarships are applied and reconciled.
• Provide admissions counseling and advising for prospective, new, and current dual credit students in the Hardin County School District.
• Enter high school transcripts and enrollment verification forms into Peoplesoft and scan and index them into OnBase.
• Communicate with high school counselors and students to resolve issues and obtain missing student information required for enrollment in dual credit courses
• Conduct dual credit enrollment and orientation events at local schools to provide information and register new and returning dual credit students.
• Develop and distribute necessary training materials, handbooks, and brochures for high school administrators, faculty, and students regarding the use of PeopleSoft and other university technologies.
• Work cooperatively with the Registrar and fellow Admissions staff to ensure that special registration assistance is provided for dual credit students, including visits to area high schools promptly to collect admission and registration materials to meet specified registration deadlines.
• Foster relationships with local high schools in our service region and initiate formal agreements.
• Contribute to the achievement of the College’s recruitment and retention goals by providing information to the high school students, parents, teachers, administrators, and district officials by representing the College at events for the high school market and encouraging dual credit students to consider attending ECTC upon graduation.
• Serve as a recruitment point of contact for the high schools within the Hardin County School District and facilitate recruitment visits, attend college fairs, set up campus tours, and work with counselors at the high schools in the Hardin County School District.
• Assist the Recruitment Team with college visit days, campus tours, and group presentations. Assist other Dual Credit team members with enrollment events.
• Assists in achieving the college’s outreach goals by working cooperatively with staff from various campus and off-campus organizational units, especially area schools and school districts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (Education with a focus on Counseling or Student Affairs, or related field), and 1 year of experience, or equivalent.
