Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Financial Aid Advisor I is to provide administrative clerical support to financial aid department at multiple campus locations of Hopkinsville Community College.

Job Duties:
• Assist students, potential students, and parents with completing the FAFSA; answer questions; receive verification documents and citizenship documents; Financial Aid phone management (receiving and making calls); assist in managing the financial aid generic email account; complete information needed for student support services; send and respond to Signal Vine messages; and serve as Blackboard Lead for Financial Aid. Assist other areas when necessary. • Maintain and assist with scanning of student provided documents into OnBase. • Run queries for aid not disbursed, mark complete with errors, SSN mismatch, Citizenship, etc. Work suspense file and load suspended ISIR's. Assist with SAP process and scholarships. • Serve as HCC Academic scholarship lead by collecting data, awarding scholarships in Blackbaud, following up with students, and re-allocating unused funds. • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree and one year related work experience, or equivalent. • Excellent customer service skills, soft-skills and communication skills. • In good standing with the Department of Education. • Attention to detail and use of computer / technology. • Ability to multi-task in an open office environment. • Demonstrated ability to handle detailed work. • Flexible work locations, schedules and hours.
