Job Summary

This is a U.S. Dept of Labor grant-funded position supporting a14-county service region surrounding Fayette County. Educational Success Coaches develop professional relationships with BCTC internal colleagues and external stakeholders including high school principals, advisors, and University of Kentucky Healthcare partners to foster positive, trusting relationships with high school students, supporting their success in healthcare pathways.

Job Duties:

1. Partner with Admissions, Allied Health, and Nursing colleagues to fully understand Programs, benefits, eligibility and BCTC application process.
2. Conduct one-on-one check-ins with students to discuss Individualized Success Plans (ISP) to support students' individual goals.
3. Foster a growth and resilience mindset in students through motivational strategies, navigating challenges.
4. Recruit, on-board, and manage four (4) tutors, ensuring that students are utilizing resources and that tutors are documenting sessions.
5. Supplying quarterly reports to the Project Manager on outcomes.
6. Collaborate with recruiters on potential student and/or school interests.
7. Serve on the planning committee and co-lead Summer Healthcare Success Academies for the first two weeks in June, working with participants to achieve their educational and healthcare career goals.
8. Introduce ATI:TEAS prep materials & arrange testing for assessment and ranking purposes.
9. Facilitate student services across multiple campus locations by traveling regularly between sites to provide in-person support and coordinate resources, as needed.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors and four (4) years experience or equivalent 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors and six (6) years related experience, or equivalent

Additional Skills Requested:

• Background in counseling, mentoring, or advising.
• Approved drivers' license.
• Familiar with Excel and record-keeping strategies.
• Excellent team player.
