Job Summary

This position serves as an assistant to the BCTC Intramural Sports program by staffing the sports offered two to three nights a week during the fall and spring semesters.

The Intramural Sports Assistant reports to the Director of Student Engagement.

Job Duties:

1. Attend and supervise intramural sports events. Referee when necessary.
2. Promote Intramural Sports at the institution through marketing and advertising.
3. Follow guidelines to ensure team compliance with all league, conference and institutional rules and regulations.
4. Assist with oversight, coordination and scheduling of leagues and tournaments.
5. Assist students with registering for intramural sports and manage documentation such as waivers and maintain updated rosters and eligibility requirements.
6. Ensure the eligibility of participants throughout the league season.
7. Maintain records relative to participation and equipment inventory.
8. Promote sportsmanship, integrity, and physical and emotional well-being among student athletes.
9. Build and foster a supportive and competitive team culture representing the mission, values and goals of the college.
10. Assist with marketing and promotions materials.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma 

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR/AED Certified (Desired)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Commitment to the mission of the comprehensive community and technical college.
