Job Summary
Somerset Community College is accepting applications for a Student Records Assistant II position. This position’s primary responsibilities are to provide quality customer service to current and prospective students.

Job Duties:
Provide customer service to walk-in students, as well as with general information through phone calls, email, and postal mail.
Address error reports according to work assignments.
Serve as customer service representative, welcoming, greeting, listening to student requests, and directing students to the proper areas for assistance.
Process high volume applications including all incoming students including high school, suspended applications, ATC, and Fire/Rescue students as well as participate with on-site visits to assist students with application process as needed.
Process incoming documents as needed; maintain all correspondence with in-coming students including Admissions Acceptance Packets.
Run on-line Admissions application rosters as needed and print student correspondence labels and letters as needed.
Maintain spreadsheets to track students in special categories such as search/match suspended and financial aid ineligible programs.
Evaluate individual student educational history and current program plan and place holds as necessary.
Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve issues that arise with student admissions files during the admissions process.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree and 1 to 3 years related experience or equivalent.
