Job Summary

Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications for part-time/temporary faculty to teach Business courses. This would be an in-person position with potential to teach a range of business courses such as Intro to Business (BAS 160), Principals of Management (BAS 283), Principles of Marketing (BAS 282), and/or International Business (BAS 256).

Job Duties:

• Provide in-person, centered instruction in the discipline.
• Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program updated.
• Prepare lesson plans (as needed), plan, and carry out instructional activities in both theory and practice.
• Create syllabi and set up assigned courses on the College’s learning management system following college standards.
• Record grades and submit reports.
• Maintenance and care for classrooms and training materials.
• Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program up to date.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from an accredited institution or 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Digital learning experience and working knowledge of Blackboard (or a similar learning management system as a delivery method for classes) is preferred.
• Experience in teaching or training in a higher education setting, preferably in business or a related field is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously.
• Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
• Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
