Job Summary
The Instructional Technologist II will work under the direction of the Director of Online Learning to plan and design the development of interactive courses/modules, facilitate the use of technology on engagement outside of the classroom, assist in the quality assurance process for online courses, assist students with online issues, and aid in training on learning technologies.

Job Duties:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate: • Strong instructional technology and instructional design acumen and experience working with both faculty and staff to improve instruction and curriculum delivery. • Experience developing and supporting online instructional components and resources. • Experience working with students from diverse populations. • Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; independent; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Duties: • Collaborates with subject-matter experts to review, design and develop courses/modules and/or web-based training in Blackboard. • Serves as a team member for online course reviews to ensure quality assurance and maintains records for reporting purposes. • Provides instructional design expertise, technical support, and training to subject matter experts, faculty, staff, and students. • Uses authoring tools including those for producing text, graphics, animation, and sound. • Coordinates multiple projects and executes project plans to ensure timely delivery of activities. • Consults on professional development programs and continuing courses/modules development related to online courses. • Stays current on changing software platforms, LMS, and other relevant tools. • Requires travel occasionally to the Laurel Campus and possibly centers. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in educational technology, instructional design, education/curriculum development, graphic design, project management or related field and two years of recent, relevant experience, or equivalence on a year-for-year basis.
