Job Summary

Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications for part-time faculty to teach BAS 256: International Business in the Business, Health, and Public Service Department. This is a fully remote position with the course being taught in an 8-week format.

Job Duties:

• Provide learner-centered online instruction in the discipline.
• Stay informed of developments within the respective field and keep the program up to date.
• Prepare lesson plans and carry out instructional activities in both theory and practice.
• Create syllabi and set up assigned courses on the College’s learning management system following college standards.
• Record grades and submit reports.
• Maintain and care for training materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from an accredited institution or 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Experience teaching international business courses. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Digital learning experience and working knowledge of Blackboard (or a similar learning management system as a delivery method for classes) is preferred.
• Experience in teaching or training in a higher education setting, preferably in business or a related field is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the college and with external business and community partners, while consistently demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
