Job Duties

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to provide senior level leadership and expertise consulting regarding the Joint Commission Accreditation process, to the twelve (12) behavioral health facilities operated by DBHDS. This position will assist facilities with the development and implementation of organizational initiatives to support accreditation and regulatory compliance. This position will also assist the facility in developing a robust regulatory program, that encompasses regulatory standard interpretation, standard compliance, education and communication regarding survey operations that will promote continuous readiness that emphasizes quality and patient safety at the forefront of regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid administration policies and practices.
• Working knowledge of appropriate Federal and State laws, regulations and polices.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation requirements, including electronic health records.
• Experience working in healthcare.
• Experience with regulatory standards and assisting in regulatory surveys (Joint Commission, CMS, VDH, OSIG etc.).
• Analytical, statistical and deductive reasoning skills.
• Working knowledge of training and instruction.
• Effective communication skills across a variety of audiences.

Additional Considerations

• Working knowledge of PageUp.
• Power BI knowledge and experience.
• SHRM or PHR Certification(s)
