Job Duties
Position provides repair, maintenance, and service of Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems according to building codes and standards. Conducts routine inspections. Maintains inventory through planning and purchasing, and responds to work requests in a timely manner in a Total Maintenance System (TMS). Supervises inmate workers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the facility. May respond to emergency callbacks for service on a rotating basis. May assist in other areas of Building and Grounds department, including preventative maintenance, construction projects, equipment repair, electrical, welding, carpentry, electronics, or outside maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of the installation, repair, and maintenance practices for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Demonstrated skill in the use of tools and supplies related to the trade. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise the work of others. Demonstrated ability to keep narrative and statistical records relating to the maintenance and repair of equipment.
Additional Considerations
Knowledge in web based HVAC control systems. Knowledge in mini-split system, split systems, and package units. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs and Gmail or preventative maintenance programs and knowledge in multiple trades experiences.
