Job Duties
VMI is accepting applications for a part-time Weekend Manager for the Jackson House Museum.
Job Duties:
• Open/close the site including processing the end of the day cash reports.
• Give tours and assist visitors on the self-guided tour.
• Greet visitors, sell merchandise, and sell tour tickets in the museum store as needed.
• Restock merchandise as needed.
• Assist staff with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Neat, businesslike appearance.
• Ability to communicate historical information accurately to visitors.
• Alertness, sensitivity to the needs and interests of museum visitors and store customers.
• Promptness, reliability, maturity, and sound judgment.
• Ability to follow routine procedures and to enforce policies.
• Ability to operate the cash register, computer, and business telephone.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
Additional Considerations
Starting pay rate is $17.00/hour.
