Job Duties

Are you interested in helping Veterans and their families? Here at the Department of Veteran Services we provide services, resources, and support to Virginia Veterans.

The V3 Employer Liaison educates and trains employers to help them implement nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly skilled and dependable Veterans. This position will be responsible for communicating, training, and providing resources to employers and associations, helping them connect to Veterans, Transitioning Service Members (TSM’s), Military Spouses, and Military Dependents.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to manage administrative, planning, scheduling, operational and diverse programmatic activities.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and/or projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of clients over an extended amount of time.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse constituencies and inter-agency government officials to discuss administrative matters, develop, and implement administrative policies and procedures.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to include state and local government.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Prior experience providing training and instruction to adult learners.
• Knowledge of best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining members of the military community

Additional Considerations

Background in social services, business, public administration, education or combination of education and job experience. research, public policy, public administration, business, or related field or equivalent experience. Additional Considerations: Ability to build relationships and foster collaboration. Experience presenting to a variety of audiences
