Job Duties

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Managed Care Supervisor. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency’s Integrated Care Division.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

This position is primarily responsible for providing supervision in the monitoring and ongoing development of the Cardinal Care managed care program.

This position is responsible for ensuring an annual Managed Care Organization (MCO) monitoring plan is developed and will supervise and direct the daily program operational functions related of the activities necessary to implement the monitoring plan.

Assist staff in completing all assigned and required duties; and work closely on a daily basis with the Manager to ensure high-quality program operations.

This position oversees the Integrated Care Division quality activities and the MLTSS-specific reporting requirements and activities.

Works within the division and across the agency to meet strategic plans, objectives, and new initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Considerable knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare services, managed care and health programs.

Experience with contract management and an understanding of contract monitoring practices.

Considerable independent and collaborative project management skills, including planning, evaluation, recommendation, and implementation.

Considerable supervisory experience with professional and ancillary staff and knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.

Experience in developing and conduct trainings and leading meetings.

Knowledge/Experience of systems/programs/computer software.

Knowledge and/or experience analyzing, interpreting, and applying state/federal regulations and laws.

Experience with organizational skills and meeting deadlines.

Experience communicating and collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
