Job Duties

The Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board is seeking a well-rounded IT professional to provide a full complement of information technology services.

This is an advanced technical position primarily developing applications independently, which is responsible for research, integration, development and implementation of tools, technologies, methods, and systems, which expand or enhance delivery of MVDB services directly to customers, employees, and business partners, by interfacing traditional information systems to the web and/or through a variety of alternative electronic channels and access devices. This position requires advanced multi-tasking programming, user training, and project management skills to support agency.

Minimum Qualifications

•Requires a broad foundation of knowledge and experience in information technology.
•Requires strong knowledge of a variety of technical environments and the concept of integration and enterprise architecture.
•Requires a high level of interpersonal, customer service and negotiating skills.
•Experience preparing presentations and reports to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
•Requires knowledge and working experience in C#, ASP.net, SQL, WordPress, MVC and desktop support.
•Requires knowledge in IIS and Windows servers.
•Skills in complex programming and oral/written communication.
•Ability to work with all levels of data processing personnel, and other agencies/companies.

Additional Considerations

•Thorough knowledge of C#, Visual Studio, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap.
•Knowledge of developing web client-based applications using MS SQL, C#, object-oriented design and programming (OOP & OOD), net architecture, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and MVC, RESTful Web services using .NET Web API.
•Must be able to obtain information from technical manuals and use networked workstations, servers, and printers in support of Enterprise Level and Web based applications.
•Experience working with and developing advanced programs and systems in an Enterprise Level and Web based environment.
