Job Duties
Patient Registration: Greet patients upon arrival, verify and update personal and insurance
information, and accurately enter data into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Appointment Scheduling: Assist patients in scheduling appointments, coordinating with medical staff to ensure optimal scheduling and minimize wait times.
Documentation: Collect and review necessary documentation from patients, including
identification, insurance cards, and medical history forms, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Billing and Payments: Provide patients with information on billing procedures and assist with any questions or issues related to payments.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and privacy requirements, including HIPAA regulations, to protect patient information.
Coordination: Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to facilitate smooth patient flow and effective communication.
Office Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized reception area and ensure that office supplies and materials are stocked and readily available.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher education in a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred; experience with patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling is a plus.
Skills: Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software (e.g.,
Microsoft Office). Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Friendly and approachable demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient service.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and handle office equipment.
Capability to lift and carry office supplies and materials as needed.
