Job Duties
The Human Services Program Specialist – Inspector provides programmatic, administrative, and compliance support for assigned program area in a district or as part of a statewide program. This position conducts inspections to support program functions, recommends and monitors corrective actions, monitors quality assurance and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, serves as a resource for information, provides and coordinates communication of program-related activities and informational materials to various stakeholders, ensures complete and accurate documentation of information/data, and provides administrative, technical and programmatic assistance.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must possess thorough working knowledge of Virginia's statewide EMS system, emergency healthcare techniques, and standards of medical care. Possess working knowledge and understanding of administrative law practices, criminal law, and the principles of regulatory authority.
• Ability to apply regulations and laws in the administration of EMS programs.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, make sound decisions, and resolve problems.
• Must possess the skills to handle highly sensitive investigations and/or situations effectively.
• Must have the skills or ability to perform investigations, prepare accurate technical documentation, and write complex reports for enforcement actions and hearings.
• Possess excellent organizational skills, and ability to set priorities and work independently.
• Must possess skills needed to operate a variety of computer equipment and software applications.
Additional Considerations
• Experience as a Virginia Education Coordinator and/or CLEAR investigator is preferred
• Extensive working experience as a Virginia-certified EMS Advanced Life Support Provider - Paramedic is strongly preferred.
• Emergency Health Services background is preferred
