Job Duties
The Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a dynamic IT QA Manager for a full-time position with our IT Services administration in Richmond, Virginia.
The IT QA Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the software testing process within the agency. This includes developing testing strategies, implementing testing methodologies, and ensuring that all software meets compliance and quality standards before release. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of DMV’s software applications. This position requires strong technical skills in software testing, programming languages, and technologies relevant to manual, automated, and performance-based testing including administering various platforms such as ALM, Azure Dev Ops, and LoadRunner.
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. Minimum Qualifications
•Current working experience using and administering various platforms for managing testing including ALM, Azure Dev Ops, LoadRunner.
•Current working experience leading others in a team environment and communicating effectively with all levels of users, management, and data processing personnel orally and in writing.
•Current working experience and proficiency in various software testing methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.
•Current working experience developing comprehensive test plans and strategies based on application requirements and timelines.
•Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices to ensure that software meets all compliance and quality standards.
•Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance and support to ensure agency success.
•Ability to analyze complex problems and identify innovative solutions to improve the testing process and software quality.
•Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers to ensure effective testing and project delivery.
