Job Duties

This position serves as the Chief Fiscal Officer for the institution. Ensures that all budget, procurement, and fiscal responsibilities of the institution are within established guidelines, policies, and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and guidelines. Monitors and approves expenditures. Provides budget guidance to the Unit Head and Department Heads. Supervises and provides leadership for the fiscal staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Considerable knowledge of business practices, including budget management, purchasing, and accounting. Working knowledge of interpreting and developing administrative policies and procedures. Working knowledge of automated equipment and related business software. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with institutional and regional staff, as well as the public. High school diploma or equivalent.

Prefer experience planning and directing the work of others.
