DGS has an opportunity for a dynamic IT professional with a history of effective and varied device and customer support in a fast-paced team environment. Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology, a business mindset, a customer service-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work with others. The successful candidate will be able to prioritize, troubleshoot/resolve problems and follow-through with internal clients.
This position will be directly involved with configuration, installation and support of a building automation\security\surveillance network and server infrastructure in a campus environment. You will work with a variety of stakeholders to support a resilient and reliable surveillance infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical information to guide purchase decisions
• Configure, install and support the hardware and server systems required to provide a robust campus infrastructure in support of our tenant agencies
• Perform routine monitoring and maintenance on the systems and hardware in the environment
• Respond to requests for assistance; effectively elicit information from impacted users, diagnose and correct issues
• Update documentations and diagrams to accurately and effectively capture the environment
• Work closely with other team members to ensure knowledge transfer and support

Minimum Qualifications
• Network design and implementation experience
• Experience with Administration of Windows enterprise systems including Domain Controllers, antivirus, and databases
• Experience with Firewall configuration and support
• Experience with Fiber optic and copper wiring
• Must have previous experience supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and RADIUS/RRAS
• MS Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, Visio and Project. Must be able to prepare technical documentation using these and other tools
• Considerable experience with routers, firewalls, switches, VPN, LAN/WAN, wireless LAN technologies, Juniper and/or Avaya, Cisco equipment
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge in infrastructure hardware, hardware management and testing tools
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of network security, and the systems that support network monitoring and management
• Demonstrated ability to perform as project manager of network infrastructure and design projects
• Demonstrated ability to lead, problem solve, and deal confidently with technical matters
• Demonstrated ability to design and install end-user network systems, including hardware selection, software selection, and integration
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Professional effective verbal and written internal and external communication
• Ability to work flexible hours, with occasional overtime
Additional Considerations
• Hyper-V experience preferred
• Previous experience as technical lead for network infrastructure projects a plus
• Experience with digital certificates is preferred
• Avaya, Extreme, Juniper and/or Cisco equipment expertise is preferred
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, Network +, etc.
• Experience administering mass storage devices (NAS\SAN) preferred
