Job Duties

Manages the Treatment Office for the Institutional Program Manager providing clerical and secretarial support in the maintenance of confidential files, preparation of confidential reports, letters, memoranda, and other security related documents in accordance with State, Departmental and Institutional policy and procedure.
Provide clerical assistance for the Institutional Program Manager and Corrections Institutional Rehab Counselors. Records counselor caseload assignments, compiles inmate listing and records minutes of meetings. Types and distributes Institutional Classification Committee dockets and other paperwork.

Minimum Qualifications

Good office management skills. Demonstrated ability to deal in a professional manner with staff, inmates and visitors. Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Demonstrated ability to type accurately, type reports and develop and use data tables. Demonstrated knowledge of file management; Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; demonstrated ability to interact with others in an effective manner.

Additional Considerations

Courses, office administration/ secretarial science or certification in office administration or equivalent training or experience in a related field. Administrative experience in a criminal justice, court, or law office setting. Experience in office management.
