Job Duties

Under the supervision of the physical therapist, provides for patient needs, modalities, therapeutic exercises, rehabilitative therapy, and the use of orthopedic/adaptive equipment.

Assist physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures. Assists with carrying out treatment plans and routine functions, modifies treatment plans and documents the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Virginia

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve the patient’s quality of life, and comply with all applicable laws

Additional Considerations

Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic Physical Therapy Department
