Job Duties

Assist in managing the regional health care delivery system for the Virginia Department of Corrections.

Participate in all applicable regional meetings, assists in hiring healthcare staff, monitoring contracts, approving contracts and equipment orders and coordinating all other regional health staff.

Employee will be based in region assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of healthcare programs and its integration into the Department’s strategic mission.

Knowledge of planning, management, budgetary procedures, and strategic planning. Knowledge of program and evaluation design.

Demonstrated ability to manage staff, services, and resources administratively and clinically in an organization.

Ability to aggregate issues into solutions. Ability to formulate policy and procedure, plan and direct services, and provide consultation and direction across a range of disciplines.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Additional Considerations

Experience in similar system in a managerial position.
