Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is excited to offer and announce an opportunity to serve as a Senior Program Analyst in the Asset Management Division in our Central Office. This position is located in the VDOT Central Office.

The selected candidate will plan, conduct, and coordinate financial management activities within the Maintenance and Operations Program. The successful candidate will facilitate and coordinate with program stakeholders to budget, monitor, report and analyze the funding allocated to highway infrastructure maintenance across the Commonwealth; provide transparency and financial accountability for the Maintenance and Operations Program, and assemble data from multiple sources for financial analysis used in making recommendations and effecting decisions. In addition, the successful candidate will prepare reports and presentations, respond to ad-hoc requests for analysis and information; and lead or assist in special transportation initiatives. Successful candidate will assist in all aspects of financial analysis for the Maintenance and Operations Program including budget development and financial forecasting; oversight of financial journals, monitoring Program financial allocations and assisting in the preparation of annual federal obligation plan.

• Knowledge of management principles.

• Experience in business and project management.

• Experience in program evaluation, development and implementation.

Additional Considerations

• A combination of training, experience, or education in Business, Public Administration, or related field desired.

• Experience in program evaluation, development and implementation.

• Experience developing business process improvement programs.
