Visitor Services Overview
The Visitor Services team at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is an essential part of the Visitor Experience department, often serving as the first opportunity for engagement between the Foundation and our guests, staff, vendors and community. In addition to assisting with ticket sales to our museums and programs, they also assist guests with assessing best options for visiting multiple sites within the Historic Triangle, identifying ways to save money and maximize experiences. Centrally located within our museum lobbies, the team often serves as a hub for information relating to everything from providing directions and light content overviews to package deliveries and group check-ins.
Job Duties
Provides quality ticketing, information, and customer service to internal and external customers of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation.
Minimum Qualifications
▪ Excellent customer service skills
▪ Basic Cash Handling skills to include basic math skills of addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
▪ Basic computer skills
▪ Excellent oral and written communication skills
Additional Considerations
Previous ticket or retail sales experience helpful but not required.
